Staffordshire Wildlife Trust

We are a voluntary organisation overseen by an elected Council, employing over fifty staff. Our work raises awareness about the natural environment in Staffordshire amongst other organisations and individuals. We provide a way for interested people to protect areas of nature conservation value from inappropriate change and encourage good management of valued areas and, where appropriate, the creation of new habitats.
The Wolseley Centre is more than just a Visitor Centre. Set in 26 acres of former landscape gardens, The Wolseley Centre was once the ancestral home of the Wolseley family. Now managed with wildlife in mind, our head quarters has everything for a great day out!

The Staffordshire region has an outstanding variety of wildlife habitats and the best examples of these are protected as National Nature Reserves.

Visitors are welcome on our NNRs because we want people to experience and appreciate these wonderful places. NNRs are open all year round, all ages are welcome and entry is free. Many of the reserves have a programme of events, often designed around seasonal highlights.
